Meet the team
At Winton Brewery, our success is driven by the passion, dedication, and expertise of our incredible team. Meet the brains, brawn and the handsome one! (Pretty much – snog, marry, avoid!).
Steve Holligan
The Captain
Meet Steve Holligan, the fearless captain of our beer ship and the mastermind behind our liquid adventures! When Steve isn’t meticulously crafting award-winning brews, he’s off on wild quests to find the world’s rarest beer ingredients. Rumour has it that he once traded his left sock for a sack of hops from a mystical brewer’s guild hidden deep in the mountains. Steve’s devotion to beer is unparalleled; he even named his dog “Barley” and his cat “Hops.” If you ever spot a bearded fellow in our brewery passionately discussing the nuances of yeast strains, that’s Steve. He’s the reason our beer isn’t just delicious; it’s legendary. So, if you’re ever in town, swing by our brewery and say hello to the brewmaster, adventurer, and the ultimate beer visionary!
David Mackinnon
The wizard
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the wizard of hops and the Sultan of Suds, our beloved brewery owner, David Mackinnon! When he’s not conjuring up magical elixirs, David can be found debating whether beer pairs better with pizza or tacos (it’s an age-old dilemma). Legend has it that he once brewed a beer so good that it became the town’s official currency for a day. David’s beard is so impressive that even his yeast strains are jealous. If you spot a bearded brewer in our brewery passionately waxing poetic about the mysteries of fermentation, that’s David. He’s the reason our beers are not just exceptional; they’re enchanting. So, if you’re ever in the neighbourhood, swing by and raise a pint to David Mackinnon, the brewmaster, philosopher, and the man who brews with a twinkle in his eye and a hop in his step!
Liam Feaheny
Head brewer extraordinaire
Gather ’round and meet the maestro of malt, the sultan of suds, and our head brewer extraordinaire, Liam Feaheny! When Liam’s not busy perfecting his brews, you might find him pondering life’s most profound question: “What’s the meaning of beer?” He once tried to brew a beer so strong that it lifted weights at the gym and asked for a protein shake. Liam’s beard has its own fan club, and rumour has it that it once out-chugged a beer keg at a frat party (go, beard, go!). If you catch a glimpse of a bearded brewing wizard in our brewery passionately serenading the fermenting tanks, that’s Liam. He’s the reason our beers are not just tasty; they’re legendary. So, the next time you drop by our brewery, raise a glass to Liam Feaheny, the brewmaster, philosopher, and the man whose beers are so good, they’ll make you question the meaning of life… and refill your glass for another round!
